What is the LGPD?
It is the General Personal Data Protection Act.
Law No. 13,709 was sanctioned on 08/14/2018 and its main objective is to create rules for organizations and protect individuals. It brings even more transparency and security to the rules applied for the protection, collection, processing and use of our personal data.
What are personal data?
All information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
All data that identifies someone can be included, such as name, ID, CPF, address, cookies or information about that person.
What changes with the LGPD?
With the application of the LGPD articles, organizations are obliged to create more effective data control and protection processes and the user now has rights that must be observed by all institutions that process personal data.

I – confirmation of the existence of processing;
lI – data access;
IlI – correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
IV – anonymization, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive or processed in breach of the provisions
of this Law;
V – portability of data to another service or product provider, upon an explicit request, in accordance with the regulations of the national authority, observing commercial and industrial secrets;
VI – deletion of personal data processed with the consent of the owner, except in the cases provided for in art. 16 of this Law;
VII – information on public and private entities with which the controller shared data;
VIII – information on the possibility of not providing consent and the consequences of refusal;
IX – revocation of consent, under the terms of § 5 of art. 8 of this Law.
